I’ve never been into Christmas Jumpers.
There, I said it!
It pained me to spend £20+ on something so un chic which I’d only wear once a year. This year I was determined to find the one. The one I’d wear for years to come. The one I’d fall in love with. The one that actually looks good and is also fun so you look a tiny bit less miserable at office Christmas party (cause no amount of knitwear can save you then!).
Enter H&M and this gorgeous little number. Pastel pink velour and rose gold embroidery??? Sign me up!
This Christmas is also incredibly exciting for me as I *finally* have free rein over the Christmas decor!.
Your girl did not hesitate to go all ‘Monica from friends’ up in here.
I started buying decorations in November, had my Pinterest board since September, and anything not ‘on theme’ got relegated to behind the sofa. Eep.
That said, I didn’t go overly crazy and spend too much dollar (*pats self on back*). I decided to keep it cheap and cheerful since we had to buy everything this year. The theme I chose was a shabby chic gold and white, with owls because y’know… badass. I made off with about 5 different sets of baubles from Ikea- their selection this year is sick. It includes fluffy white snowball style pom poms, silver owls, fancy gold ribbon (move over, tinsel), and some shabby chic wooden hearts which could totally be used year round.
I love the thought that these are our first set of decorations, which we’ll keep them for years to come, so as our family grows these might be the first baubles our kids get to put on the tree 🙂
Or if they’re anything like me they’ll be like: ‘Who chose this colour scheme!? I can’t wait to get my own place!’ 😉
Warms my heart <3
PS: Can we talk about advent calendars?? This one from Kinder is basically where they’ve been hiding all the chocolate (my Mam swears Kinder eggs were thicker in the 90’s…) If you haven’t got one yet- why not have a sneaky peek at these? 😉
How are you decorating this year?
