Room Tour: My Shabby Chic Bedroom

I have to admit, I am quite the nosy parker when it comes to bedrooms! I love seeing room tours in blog posts which reflect the writer’s personal style, so I thought I’d give you a peek into my world! Starting, oddly enough, with the back of my door. My room is decorated in a simple shabby chic style  which calms me and makes me feel instantly cosy at home. The back of my door reflects that quite well and I love it as it’s full of memories!
I hung up the dress I wore to my graduation ball (from Debenhams, on the left), the vintage inspired Zara dress I wore to my auntie and uncle’s retro 50’s wedding a few summers ago (middle) and this lovely summer dressing gown I bought from Primark which I tend to flounce around in on duvet days (it was £12). The pastel fabrics and different textures go really well together and give off a sense of luxury.
The wicker heart hangers can be found on eBay, the heart shaped mirror is from M&S and the floral print shower cap is from Matalan

The second bedroom spot I’d like to show you is my shabby chic mirror. It used to be pine, but I customized it by painting it with white paint, then with light grey paint. I then sanded the edges to create a slightly worn shabby chic look. My mam bought me this shabby chic hanging heart. I found the wooden ‘R’ in a tourist shop on holiday.  I keep my cotton wool in this 60’s inspired floral cup which I picked up at IKEA. Finally, I’ve been saving this cute little ‘dawn mist’ candle from Heart and Home for a rainy day.(Update- I burned it and it was amazing!)
