Room Tour | Butterflies and Dragonflies

Butterflies are one of my passions- I once spent some time in the Central America on my gap year researching butterflies, and I fell in love with their colour and variety and straight up coolness. Recently my passion has extended into my bedroom with lots of butterfly related things. I don’t think I ever consciously started my collection- but one day I looked around my bedroom and realized that I had a bit of an obsession! Oops! 😉

Here are some favourites from my collection:

I bought this vintage Collin’s Gem Guide to common garden butterflies and moths from a car boot sale for just 50p! I couldn’t believe it was such a bargain! It really is a wonderful book. They don’t seem to make field guides with so many beautiful illustrations any more (nerd problems). I remember reading the Collin’s bird guide at my grandparent’s house when I was little but I’m not sure what happened to it- if you see a copy let me know!

I couldn’t believe it when I found this butterfly print cushion in Asda for just £2.50 in their homeware sale. It’s really good quality and, in my opinion, quite stylish for a supermarket!. Perfect for a self-confessed cushion addict!

Finally, this necklace reminds me of my best friend, who has a thing for dragonflies. I bought it from Accessorize on a shopping trip with her a while back, it was £10. The gold cushion was a bargain from Primark (it was £4!)

I can’t wait to watch for my collection to grow! I have my eye on these pieces:
